Obviously, I am not a good blogger. Lots of things happen every day, and I think: I should blog about this. And then I don't.
I was never any good at keeping a journal either. Why is that? I heard that Mae West said that if you keep a journal, your journal will keep you. Maybe I have subconsciously bought in to her idea...
Anyway...
Here's what I'm thinking about tonight:
1) The government might shut down. I think that has to be the most ridiculous thing ever. People that we elected to represent us don't seem to be doing a very good job. I am worried. I am worried for all those people who will walk into work Friday or Monday and learn whether or not they should go home for an undetermined amount of time. I am worried about how this may affect my family. I am worried.
2) Dead trees fall down. That's why we have to spend $2000 to have one, big, dead oak tree removed from our back yard. Can you think of lots of other ways you could spend $2000? Me too!
3) Trying to renew my teaching certificate is proving to be more challenging than I expected. I would like to keep it current, but I am also wondering if this is a sign that I should be looking for something else to do.
4) Little girls' dresses look so cute when they are ironed. I am not in the practice of ironing clothes for children ( I think it's a little silly), but I may try to sell a few things in a consignment store so I thought I'd spruce things up a bit.
5) I need more of a focus for this blog so that I will update it more often. Do you have any ideas for me?
